Giuliani in a dress: Will voters care?

Umm…No, they won’t.  Slow news cycles bring out the oddest stories. File this under the ‘Who Cares?’ Tab.

Giuliani in a dress: Will voters care? – Rudy Giuliani News – MSNBC.com

NEW YORK – It is difficult to shock New Yorkers, yet Rudy Giuliani teetered close to the line when he sauntered onto a stage wearing a platinum-blond wig, a face full of makeup, dainty white gloves and a frilly pink gown filled out in all the right places.

His appearance at an annual political roast was exactly 10 years ago, and at the time, the idea of the tough-talking mayor in a busty ball gown raised eyebrows but was mostly accepted as a good joke — adhering to an unwritten rule for the shenanigans that take place at the roast, known as the Inner Circle dinner.

Shortly after winning re-election that year, Giuliani took his feminine side to a national audience. While hosting “Saturday Night Live,” he appeared in one skit as a bosomy, gray-haired Italian grandmother in lipstick and a flowered housedress, with stockings pulled halfway up his calves.

  1. It is time to find some one who has the gravitas to be President. Guiliani is too Nixonian, Romney is a candidate that can’t find his core and John McCain is fading. It is time for Republicans find some who is conservative and is articulate. Fred Thompson is that man. Wake up Republicans or we are going to be mowed down by Moveon.org and its subsidary the Democratic Party.

  2. I have often disagreed with Senator McCain and he is struggling this time arround because the other two “front runners” are liberal he is no longer the media darling. 3. Ron Paul is the only Republican I’d vote for.
    * He has never voted to raise taxes.
    * He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
    * He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
    * He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
    * He has never taken a government-paid junket.
    * He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
    * He voted against the PATRIOT Act.
    * He voted against regulating the Internet.
    * He voted against the Iraq war.
    * He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
    * He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S.
    treasury every year.

  4. Ron Paul, Ron Paul give me a friggin break. Lets see in a national poll of name recognition Ron Paul scored….0 dead last.
McCain is dead, its just that Teddy K hasn’t told him yet.
Rudy, yea he’s a leader when the chips are down, other than that he’s a ‘go along to get along’ guy.
    Tancredo, he’s one issue.
And that guy from Calyforneeah..never mind, so much for that.
Of the declared GOP, I’ll take Mitt. he’s solid, he’s got a core, oh yea, and family values. (never divorced, can any of the others make the same claim?)
I’m waiting for the Fred/Newt ticket…….Lets kick some liberal ass.
As for Rudy and the dress…BFD…..the man has a human/funny side. After all; If we can’t poke fun at ourselves, who can?
