Again, people’s assumption that conservatives are “rich” is a huge fallacy. The fight for freedom must continue on. You need us “warmongers” to preserve your petty life, and as the most powerful country in the world, it is in our duty to come to the side of the less fortunate to preserve, restore, or help begin lives of freedom for our fellow beings.

well listen dumb ass im a democrat who served with two brothers during viet nam losing my younger brother to wounds suffered there all democrats and all joined not drafted or hid from the draft we served willingly. unlike many rich republicans who hid out at home. U HAVE NO CLAIM TO SERVING OR GETTING KILLED. And u want to send other people to a war that shouldnt be. If george bush was any real leader he would have done the job in afganistan instead of sending troops in harms way in a war that shouldnt have been. Its easy to run your mouth but we are 3 going on 4 generations who have fought and lost loved ones and i have a daughter in harms way now. and we have done so quietly so idiots like you can run your mouth and blame the ills of the world on democrats as though republicans didnt exist or have a large hand in everything thats going or went on. Well i guess its better to be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt as you have

Should we attack N. Korea next? Iran? Russia? China?
When does it end? It doesn’t seem to matter to you that both Vietnam and Iraq were both mistakes. You do not learn from history. Conservative warmongers are the real ones who have blood all over themselves. All the while their pockets get fatter while they sell us all out.

I invite all to read “A Briight shining Lie” by Neal Sheehan. It is a book written about the Vietnam war and the corruption and lack of will to fight on the part of the South Vietnamese and the ineptness on our part. We wasted 54,000+ good Americans and untold billions on a war against an enemy that is now a trading partner. That is why war should only be used when there is absolutely no alternative (like WWll). I served in Thailand during that period and the only combat I saw was in Bangkok and getting a good table at the O.Club. I was part of the problem.

Nothing like a profound “kiss my butt” to show people you’re thinking. Secondly, I don’t think anyone has ever referred to Vanity Fair as news. Except you, that is. Besides. Critique the facts, not the source. Lastly, this process of exchanging freedoms for safety from the terrorists is wholly un-American, and reeks of fascism. Hitler asked for the tools to get the job done, too. It started with terrorism there, too. The real problem is people like J.D. Pendry who support the administrations choice to redact the constitution to make us safe. Screw that, you nancies. I’d rather be free than safe any day. That’s the American way. So, rather than continue to sling mud at the “haters”, realize that they represent a majority in this great nation that is against this horseshit. If you can’t appreciate democracy, maybe you should move to Russia where they do things the way you like it.
